…and we’re off!

We left home on Saturday, May 14th.  We look pretty happy to finally be on the road.
Our first three days were at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, GA for RVTR (Tandem Rally with 14 RVing friends).  Beautiful park, quiet roads for riding, lots of visiting and eating.  This is Sherry with her fascinator.  Very cute!
Frankie is our tandem mascot.  Steve sent him to me in 1971 when we had our New York/Ohio courting days before we got married.  Frankie came with a box of Crest toothpaste.  He even went on our tandem trip to Japan in 2013 as Steve built a special arm to hold him over one of our panniers.
Three couples ready for our first day of riding.
Preparing food to bring to the pot luck dinner on day two. Amazing what can be done in such a tiny space.
Fruit kabobs and “Joan’s Broccoli Madness”.  This was Steve’s favorite from our Sweet Tomatoes days.  This time we made it vegetarian with fake bacon bits.  It was a real hit!
