On our last full day of driving in Canada from Whitehorse to Koidern there are fewer RVs on the road today. There sure are lots of potholes and big dips on the road and gravel patches that make extremely dusty conditions. The fact that Harvey is only 21 feet long makes driving a bit easier.
We haven’t seen any animals. I wonder why there was so much wildlife that one day, a few days ago. Questions without answers.
We’re in the middle of nowhere at a nice, peaceful campground. The sun is shining and we are surrounded by mountains. There are about 19 hours of daylight so it’s weird to try to go to sleep when it looks like the middle of the afternoon. It never really gets dark, the sky always has a bit of a glow. (We won’t be seeing the Northern Lights at this time of year). When we get to Fairbanks there will be 21 hours of light. It’s kind of fun to have all this light but I just think about how drab it will be six months from now when there’s only 4 hours of daylight.

Don’t you just love all that daylight! I’ve seen some pictures of vegetable – like cabbage from Alaska that had grown to over 30 pounds and too big to pick up. They say with all that sunshine – that can happen.
Don’t get me wrong, I love singing birds, but not at 4:30 am. LOL. Changes in latitude, Changes in attitude.
